The pieces we have now have hundreds of silly restrictions, like they didnt even thought how that pillar could be used instead of their forced way. Soemthing Im not ever see them doing, and of course, it would be impossible.Ģ. You will never get to the amount of freedom you had with this bug without creating hundreds and hundreds of pieces in various scales and shapes.
#Planet coaster free alpha 2 update
They said in the update thread that "it was not intended" and that even if they saw it was used in a bunch of creative ways, they wanted to give that creative freedom only with pieces they are going to add in the game.ġ. I really dont know what they were thinking. For example the roofs have the gradient I exactly want. This is the station im doing right now, what you see here was basically impossible to do in alpha 1.
#Planet coaster free alpha 2 full
We still need quarter peices and 1 meter height walls ASAP, even more becuase the stations use quarter grid instead of the full one now (and even the qaurter gird is a bug still). The new camera is completly horrible and makes really difficult make the inside of buildings in an easy way. They really need to make this bugs be part of the game and implemented into the normal grid system where you can decide if you can do a wall offset from the grid, but still be part of the same building. And at the end of the day it will be like a bunch of "mini buildings" that look like a building, but If I wanted to move everything becuase I saw something wrong, it would be impossible. The problem is, im using the gizmo with a bug, so it lets me rotate in any axes things like walls and roofs. The gizmo tool is giving me possibilites that were out of question in alpha 1 to build exactly what I want.
The smooth tool were you can select various tracks is excellent.
I could get done one turn exactly like I wanted so it looked like the first turn of the real coaster im recreating, I couldnt do that in Alpha 1. The coaster seems much better now than the first days of alpha 2, and with the ruler options to enlogate the tracks is much easier to recreate things. If this works I dont think we will ever even see a Planet Coaster 2 (and maybe in a lot of years a graphical update will be given to the game).Īnd its probably going to work as RCT3 could survive more than 10 years thanks to two big expansions packs and an active community exapnding the game with custom scenery by themselves.īuilding Superman - La Atracción de Acero right now as a recreation to test the coaster builder (it was updated again so it worked more like in Alpha1 two days ago) and the advanced gizmo (to build a really complex and reallistic station). They said some updates will be free while other (supposedly bigger exapnsion like what RCT3 had with water parks and safaris) will be payed.
After that they said they want to add real custom scenery so its easy to import in game and works with the park visiting community they have in mind, real dark rides, more water rides (only the basic ones are going to be in the release, like log flume, water splash and rapids, because they are working with water physics to get them as real as possible), and expand all this over the years so Planet Coaster is a service, and not a 1 thing release and waiting another 10 years without a game. Thankfully, the "final" release (when it gets out of alphas and betas), is supposedly going to be a complete game like RCT3 was. Thats actually true, they havent tried to hide it and have answered that multiple times on the AMAs they do in the forums and the devdiaries.
